Hello Primary 1,

We miss you all but we have loved chatting with you and your families on the phone! We hope that you’ve all been enjoying working through your home learning packs.  We have updated the grid with some new ideas and links to a variety of fun activities to keep you busy!

We have also added in some focus words for the next two weeks.  You could try reading, writing (maybe using rainbow letters) and spelling these words.  You could even challenge yourself and use them in sentences.  New words will be added every two weeks to challenge you!

There is a writing challenge too.  Look at the picture and right as much as you can about it.  There are some questions to get you started!

We would love to see some of the activities you complete at home so don’t forget to take some pictures and post to twitter!

Enjoy and stay safe,

Miss Healy, Mrs McIlwraith, Mrs Davie and Mrs Wilson J

P.S. In Primary 1 we check-in with the children at various point of the day.  During such unsettling times we feel that these check-ins are even more important in order to help children to regulate their emotions and remind them that it’s ok to feel things like worry, sadness, etc.  Attached is a document you might find helpful when discussing how your child is feeling with them.
